covid-19

Although the COVID-19 pandemic is highly dynamic, and protocols will surely change over time, we believe in being as proactive as possible, preferring to err on the side of caution. We will do everything we can to minimize any risk of infection. In addition to our general infection prevention and control protocols, the following measures are necessary to embrace public health policy.

When an appointment is made by phone, a questionnaire will be conducted which will cover contact with COVID-positive people, recent travel, recent loss of taste or smell, or flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, headache and fatigue. This same questionnaire will be repeated upon arrival at the office. At that same time, the patient and accompanying adult may have their temperatures taken with a non-contact forehead thermometer.

To encourage physical distancing, only 1 patient will be allowed in the office at a time. We encourage adults to come alone, and to have only 1 adult accompany a child.

To minimize office time, patients are requested to discuss any general concerns and ask any questions by phone before coming to the office.

We recommend phoning the office from the lobby to let us know you are about to come up. We will then be prepared to unlock the office door for you.

Everyone entering the office is requested to wear a face mask before entering. Disposable gloves will be given to everyone entering the office.
