general standards

Aerosols can act as a vehicle for the spread of infection. No aerosols are generated in our office because only x-rays acquired outside the mouth are taken.

Disposable gloves are worn by our technologists when obtaining the x-ray images, and are discarded after each patient exam is completed. Hands are then sanitized.

Face masks are worn and discarded after each exam is completed.

Where possible, a disposable barrier is employed.

All x-ray machines are cleaned after each use with a substance which destroys bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores.

Counters and chairs in the reception area are sanitized regularly.
